Tourism is a basic engine of economic activity in each country and a sector in which new initiatives are constantly appearing. It is therefore of interest in many businesses, to know where tourists go, what they visit, where they shop and where they stay. To fill these gaps, Unica360 has developed a series of indices that measure different tourism-related phenomena, at the micro-area level and with exhaustive national coverage.
Please note that the tourism estimations were done before the COVID-19 pandemic.
This dataset is curated and maintained by Unica360. More info: https://www.unica360.com/

Example Use Case:
Tourist attraction can be a highly relevant indicator of retail and hostelry demand in an area. This data can allow analysing the sales performance of retailers, FMCG brands, etc. By cross-referencing their locations with the tourism levels, we can explain why one store sells more than another depending on the intensity of tourist presence in the surrounding area. How does tourism affect my business? This data can help you find an answer.
