Free IP Geolocation Sample Data Overview:
This data set has been custom developed in partnership with Snowflake’s Technical Education Team, as part of ‘The Hands-On Essentials Workshop Series’. The data set has been restricted to specific cities in accordance with the applicable workshop scenarios.
This sample is a small subset of IPinfo’s industry leading Geolocation IP address data that maps billions of public IP addresses around the world to their geolocation positions. IPinfo builds and maintains its own proprietary IP geolocation database, which is used to generate various forms of geographic information for internet traffic.

Example data enrichment use cases:
IP address data has broad applicability across industry verticals for the majority of internet data use cases. The most significant and popular use cases currently align to cybersecurity, fraud prevention and sales & marketing, with some examples below:
1. Network management: Adding geolocation context to network activity provides valuable insights for internet traffic control, monitoring, and management. Use this intelligence to create (and automatically update) network policies based on geolocation boundaries, limit access from specific territories, and identify common geolocation attributes of malicious actors.
