Description:
This unique dataset provides directory (name, location, control/sector), enrollment (undergraduate, Pell), cost (tuition, net price, and cost of attendance), performance (retention, graduation), debt (loan, repayment), earnings (median income, 25th and 75th percentile), and return-on-investment (ROI) calculations for 4,125 colleges and universities in the United States. With access, users can:
1. Search for and locate every college and university in the U.S. and see the costs of attendance overall, including for in-state versus out-of-state students.
2. View various performance metrics for each institution, including retention and graduation rates, debt/loan repayment or default rates, and the percent of students awarded federal Pell Grants and federal student loans.
3. Observe the median debt of graduates upon completion and the estimated monthly loan payment for borrowers from each institution.
4. View the mean and median earnings of graduates from those institutions at 10 years after entry, including the 25th and 75th earnings percentiles, as well as the proportion of graduates making more than $25,000 per year.
5. Observe the estimated cumulative earnings after enrolling up to 10 years, as well as the estimated cumulative earnings of a high-school graduate in that same state (i.e., to view a college-earnings benefit).
6. Access Vantage Point's return-on-investment calculations for each college and university (i.e., comparing the college benefit to the investment required to attend that college).
This proprietary dataset is developed by Vantage Point's leading education and data scientists and is powered by annual college-level data from the U.S. Department of Education.
As one of the first and most comprehensive datasets on college ROI, this dataset provides essential information for students and families, policymakers, institutional and program administrators, and workforce leaders seeking to make informed decisions on investments and partnerships in higher education.
